I’m Molly, a family photographer based in North Cumbria, at the foot of the Pennines, working with families locally and across the UK. I create natural, documentary‑style family photographs in the places that matter most — your home, a favourite walk, or anywhere you feel truly together.
With a calm, unobtrusive approach, I help you relax while I quietly observe, gently guide when needed, and capture honest images that reflect your family just as you are.
Every family has its own atmosphere, I like to settle quietly into it — sometimes guiding, sometimes watching — letting the people and the day shape the photographs with a little creativity thrown in from me.

I’ve lived in Cumbria long enough to know how much the landscape shapes the way families move, play and gather. The fells, the lakes, the woods — they’re places I return to again and again, and each one feels different depending on the family I’m with. And just over the border, Northumberland has its own pull: that wild stretch of coastline, the big skies, and the history that sits quietly in the background.
When you book a session, I genuinely enjoy helping you find the right spot. It’s one of my favourite parts of the process. If you’re visiting the area, it can be overwhelming to know where to start, so I like to take that pressure away. I think about the kind of experience you want, how your family naturally moves together, and what will make everyone feel at ease.
I often use a brilliant local resource, The Hiking Household — Amy and her family test every walk themselves, and their routes have led me to so many places I might never have discovered otherwise. Thanks to them, I always have a handful of beautiful, practical options no matter where I am in Cumbria or Northumberland.

Because of that, I offer a range of flexible packages, each designed to suit different needs. Some include printed products, some focus solely on digital files, and others weave in the magic of analogue film for added nostalgia and depth.

I photograph families of all ages — from energetic toddlers to camera‑shy teens (and adults too). My sessions are calm, relaxed and pressure‑free, giving everyone time to settle and be themselves. I’ll guide you gently, support any nerves, and make sure the experience feels as good as the photographs that come from it.
