Photographing Weddings with a Creative eye and a Love of the in-between Moments
I’ve been photographing weddings since I left university over 23 years ago, and I still get that spark of excitement every time a new story begins. Living between the wild beauty of Cumbria, the Lake District, and Northumberland means I’m surrounded by landscapes that naturally lend themselves to romance and adventure. I’ve also travelled far and wide to capture celebrations, from the Highlands of Scotland to the French Alps and even the (occasionally) sunny South of England.
What matters most to me is the story your day naturally holds — the connections, the atmosphere, the small gestures that often say more than the big moments do. No two weddings look or feel the same, and I don’t approach them as if they should.
My approach to Wedding Photography
Before your day, we talk about what’s important to you so I understand the people and moments you most want preserved.
On the day itself, I work quietly and with intention: letting things unfold, noticing the in‑between moments, gathering your favourite people together when needed, and making time for creative portraits that feel relaxed and genuine.
The result is a collection of images that feels honest, soulful, and true to the rhythm of your day — nothing forced, nothing overdone, just your story as it happened.
